About the Department

The continual interplay of economics, business technology, and global commerce makes it increasingly necessary for all individuals to acquire an understanding of basic business concepts. Only with this understanding can they expect to live economically and be expected to participate fully in an ever-changing global system. It is our objective to keep the curriculum rigorous and current with respect to new developments and trends in the field of business education.

Featured Courses


This course covers two types of businesses: proprietorships and partnerships. Each type of business is presented in a complete accounting cycle covering analyzing transactions, journalizing, posting data, preparing financial statements, and adjusting and closing entries.


Marketing education introduces students to the processes and functions involved in transferring business products or services to a consumer. Through the study of marketing, students can gain a clear picture of how key business functions are directly related to marketing activities.
